You will often need to change competitor details, either before or during an event.
Here's how to do it...

From the Scoring screen, select the competitor to be edited and then click the 'Edit' button at the top of the form.

(Alternatively, just click the edit button and find the competitor once you are in the Edit screen).

The display now changes to the Edit Competitor Details screen as shown below.

Make any changes you need to the fields in 'Competitor Details' and click 'Save Changes'.

..and then confirm your action when asked.

Any changes you have made are shown in red.

Note that if you change the class of a competitor, they will be added to the END of the running order for their new class.  This behaviour can be changed through the preferences screen ('New entrants bounce first').
Alternatively, you can explicitly set the 'start order' value to control exactly which order the entrants perform.

You can use the 'Find Competitors' fields to filter the competitor list - just start typing the first few characters of their name and/or club and the competitor list will update as you type.  Note that you will have to change the class selector at the top of the screen to be 'All' if you want to search the entire list of entrants.

Important:  This will update the currently selected competitor.  If however, you want to add a new competitor, you can fill in their details and then click 'Add'.  (You may wish to 'Clear' all the fields first, although this is not strictly necessary).

Unless there is a conflict with an existing entrant, you will not be asked to confirm an addition.

You can keep a record of any changes made by enabling one of the 'Save Changes' options from the Preferences screen.
This gives you a file of changes that you can simply print off and hand to your officials.
