So you've installed the database server and Client and have now installed TScore.  What next?

The next step is to create your first Competition Database, so that you can familiarise yourself with the program.
Launch TScore from the Start Menu

1. The main screen will display with the current Server and Database shown as ‘Not Set’:

2. Click the ‘Change’ button at the top of the screen to set the database server name.

3. Pull down the list of servers.

4. Pick the one you want to use (normally your local machine if this is the first installation)

TScore tries to list databases on the chosen server – but there aren’t any yet of course!

5. Click Ok and then cancel the ‘Connect’ option

The main screen now shows that you have set the current database server, so you can proceed to create your first competition.

6. Click on ‘Start a new competition’.

7. Fill in the details for your trial competition and click OK

You are now in the ‘Edit Competition’ screen, with the Entries folder set to the sample provided with TScore.

If you have prepared some of your own entry forms, you can change to the folder containing these if you wish.

Otherwise, I recommend that you move the two ‘Test’ entry forms out of the Samples\Entries folder and just use the two called ‘Bouncy’ and ‘Cruisers’.

8. Now click the ‘Process Entries’ button.

TScore reads the entry forms and loads the competitors into the database.

You can now explore TScore’s features using the sample data that you have just loaded.
